PROFESSIONAL RECORDS & VITA

Prof. Dr. Adil Baykasoğlu received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering in 1993 and 1995, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management, from The University of Nottingham in 1999. From 1993 to 1996, he was with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering at the University of Gaziantep, first as a research assistant, later as an instructor. He is presently a full Professor at the Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Gaziantep. He has published more than 260 academic papers, 3 books and edited several conference books on operational research, computational intelligence, meta-heuristics, quality, and manufacturing systems design. He is also an active referee for many scientific journals and serving on the board of several academic journals.

Prof. Dr. Adil Baykasoğlu Isparta Teknik Lisesi Makina bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra Lisans ve Yüksek Lisans derecelerini Makina Mühendisliği alanında 1993 ve 1995 yıllarında, doktora derecesini ise YÖK bursu ile gittiği Nottingham Üniversitesinden 1999 yılında Endüstri Mühendisliği alanında almıştır. 1993 yılından beri Gaziantep Üniversitesinde çalışan Prof. Baykasoğlu halen aynı üniversitenin Endüstri Mühendisliği bölümünde görevine devam etmektedir. Prof. Baykasoğlu ulusal ve uluslar arası bilimsel dergi ve kongrelerde 260 den fazla bilimsel makale yayımladı. Prof. Baykasoğlu’nun ayrıca üç adet yayımlanmış kitabı, düzenleyip editörlüğünü yaptığı çeşitli ulusal ve uluslar arası kongre kitapları bulunmaktadır. Prof. Baykasoğlu’nun çalışma alanları genelde yöneylem araştırması, bilişimsel yapay zekâ, lojistik ve üretim sistemleri yönetimi/tasarımı, bilgisayar destekli üretim, kalite ve benzetim konuları üzerinde yoğunlaşmaktadır. Prof. Baykasoğlu, çok sayıda uluslararası dergide hakem ve yayın kurulu üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır.
