Experiments performed in this laboratory are aimed to introduce the student to the concepts of temperature, expansion of solids, liquids and gases, gas laws, specific heat capacity of liquids and gases by the method of liquids, kinetic theory of gases. Devices used in this laboratory include electrical water heaters, beakers, calorimeters, thermometers, thermocouples, and thermistors.
