How to install Ansys Student 2021 R2 on your PC

  1. To install the student version of Ansys 2021 R2, you must first download it by visiting http://www.ansys.com/products/academic/ansys-student
  2. Scroll down and click on “ANSYS Student”
  3. After clicking ANSYS student, a downloadable version of ANSYS STUDENT 2021 R2 should appear below. Click the download button. The download may take a while, and will appear as a .zip file.
  4. Right-click on setup.exe and select Run as Administrator. (This will run setup.exe from the extracted files.)
  5. Read and accept the clickwrap to continue.
  6. Read and accept the license agreement, select “next”
  7. Click the “next” button to accept the default installation and wait for the program to install.
  8. Select “Exit” to complete the installation. The ANSYS Student software is now installed.
  •     Reboot your machine and then run the ANSYS Student product from your Start menu by selecting Workbench. Some quick tutorials will be shared here after first in-class lecture.

Our faculty has two licenses to use:

1. Undergraduate (ANSYS Fluent 17.0): Students can use it in the COMLAB.

2. Graduate (AVL Fire and Fire M – 5 students limited – 3 students left): Graduate student can contact me about the information.

We will use ANSYS Fluent Student edition in AE433 class and if possible (on-site lectures) ANSYS Fluent 17.0 in COMLAB. If graduate students select a CFD-based study, then they can use AVL Fire & Fire M.

Dear AE433 CFD lecture students, a poll regarding “Presentation Day Selections” is announced in GAUZEM platform of our lecture:

There will be two reports till the end of the semester and 1 presentation for each student. All will be equally weighted to determine 30% of the total grade (10% Report-1, 10% Report-2, 10% Presentation). 1st report (to be submitted till May 6th end of the day) details are given in https://uzemgiris.gantep.edu.tr/course/view.php?id=9177
